Jennifer L. Armentrout writes about love and aliens in West Virginia in riveting Young Adult series

Having amassed a cult-like following as a result of her Covenant and Lux series, bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout writes feisty, realistic and totally relatable characters in Obsidian, Shadows, and Onyx, all published by Entangled Teen.

March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The Lux series, which began with Obsidian, continues with the recently released Shadows, and the upcoming Onyx, is just one of several projects Jennifer L. Armentrout is working on.  She was recently contracted for a Young Adult thriller with Disney Hyperion, to be released in 2013.

But Obsidian (which sold 7,000+ copies in the first 45 days of release and is definitely a book to watch) is close to Jennifer's heart.  It is set in West Virginia, her home state and where she still resides, and takes place around Riverton's Seneca Rocks.  In addition to the West Virginian setting, Jennifer pulls in local lore, including the story of Princess Snowbird.

The Lux novels are slated for mass market distribution beginning this summer with the re-release of Obsidian in trade paperback.  Jennifer will also be joining Nora Roberts on July 7th at Turn the Page for the store's anniversary book signing event.

About Obsidian

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

About Jennifer L. Armentrout

Jennifer L. Armentrout lives in West Virginia. All the rumors you’ve heard about her state aren’t true. Well, mostly. When she’s not hard at work writing, she spends her time reading, working out, watching zombie movies, and pretending to write. She shares her home with her husband, his K-9 partner named Diesel, and her hyper Jack Russell Loki. Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class, where she spent her time writing short stories, therefore explaining her dismal grades in math. Jennifer writes Adult and Young Adult Urban Fantasy and Romance. She can be found ‘brainstorming’ on Twitter or stalking Goodreads while fighting her never-ending addiction to caffeine.
