My choice of Steadicam for 5D Mark III camera
When I first got my Canon 5D MARK III camera, I soon realized that I need something to stabilize my camera. I cannot just shoot all my videos by hand holding, for the camera was easy to shake and the light needed to be optimized.
If you don’t require much for the quality of your videos, you can use a lens with image stabilization built into the lens itself, and the best lens we have found for both Canon and Nikon is the tamron 17-50 2.8 VC because it’s one of the few crop lenses that features both a 2.8 aperture and stabilization.
The next step of stabilization involves balancing your entire camera on a weighted system. This not only allows you to stabilize your non VR or IS lenses better but it also lets you run around and capture moving shots with very little camera shake. The results are not perfect since most DSLR cameras still have a rolling shutter (and limited bit rates) but with some training you can really up the production value on your own DSLR videos.
There are a ton of options but after serious survey, I decided to choose the latest version of Wondlan Steadicam Leopard I, which features bearing capacity as heavy as 7.5kg (Leopard II can bear 15kg), and long scalable carbon fiber rods, not to mention its attractive appearance, high-quality materials, light weight and high intensity, and is to provide the best stability and cinematic quality of images. So I have no doubt that a good operator can get amazing results out of Wondlan Steadicam Leopard I. Another surprise to me is Wondlan DSLR Rigs Sniper 2.0 of Wondlan, which is just excellent for the 5D Mark III.
