Enter 790/KABC-AM's "Taste of VenturaCountyWest" Weekend Getaway Contest

The Ventura County Lodging Association (VCLA) and 790/KABC-AM are currently giving away three day, two night weekend get-aways from March 30 to April 1 in Ventura County's most unique and vibrant cities: Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura.
 
March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- VENTURA, CALIF.--The newly-created Ventura County Lodging Association (VCLA) and 790/KABC-AM are currently giving away three day, two night weekend get-aways in Ventura County's most unique and vibrant cities: Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura. Nine winning couples will receive an expense-paid weekend from March 30 to April 1. Called "Taste of VenturaCountyWest," winners will be accompanied by KABC-AM hosts Doug McIntyre, Terri-Rae Elmer and Peter Tilden.

   Trips are being given away to listeners every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:20 a.m. now through March 23. No purchase is necessary to enter and winners must be at least 21 of age or older.

   Winners stay two nights in ocean view suites at Ventura's Crowne Plaza Hotel. The weekend kicks off on Friday, March 30, when winners will dine at the Safire Bistro in Camarillo. The next day, March 30, they will be treated to an early continental breakfast before traveling by Roadrunner Shuttle to Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard. They will enjoy a one-hour boat ride courtesy of Island Packers to Anacapa Island. They will participate in a nature walk and view the high sea cliffs of Inspiration Point and Cathedral Cove. On their way back to the harbor, they will check out the California Sea Lion Rookery. Dinner in the evening will be at The Greek in Ventura Harbor Village. On Sunday, April 1, winners will depart in the late morning for a tour and wine tasting adventure at Herzog Winery in Oxnard followed by lunch at Tierra Sur in Oxnard. At the end of the weekend adventure, winners can use the coupons found in their goody bags and stop at the 160-store Camarillo Premium Outlets.
