Fibre support Bradford Occupational Health & Safety Forum

March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Tony Birchall, Fibre’s Health & Safety Manager has been asked to talk about the various issues involving asbestos removal and the complex health & safety regulations which have to be complied with.

Bradford Area Occupational Health and Safety Forum is a unique partnership of public, private, voluntary and trade union organisations in the Bradford area working together to improve the health, safety, and well being of people at work. The forum acts as a network for sharing information and produces newsletters. It also holds events for employers and employees on various topics.

Tony Birchall, Fibre’s Health & Safety Manager advises, “We are experts in the field of asbestos, as this is what we do on a day to day basis. My background in Health & Safety compliance helps to quantify my knowledge of the subject and give an overall view for both employers and employees regarding management of asbestos on a whole.”

Fibre were invited to speak about asbestos after we had shown our support for the Bradford Asbestos Victims Support Group by highlighting the importance of asbestos training for all people who may be at risk from exposure to asbestos and donating over £10,000.00 worth of training to the HSE asbestos campaign.

The training offered was so successful that we released further dates in addition to the £10,000.00 pledge and received fantastic feedback from the attendees, who felt they were better informed about asbestos and it’s presence in buildings.
