California College Students to rally for higher educational funding
10,000 college students from across California are expected to converge in Sacramento Monday, March 5th, to march and rally for more funding for higher education, and the protection of the Cal Grant program for students.
Thousands of California College Students to rally Monday for higher educational funding
Sacramento, CA (March 3, 2012)- Close to 10,000 college students from across California are expected to converge on the state capitol Monday to rally for increased funding for higher education and legislation that will provide financial relief for students and their families. The students will start the “Fund Our Future” event with a march starting at Southside Park at 10 a.m. and end at the state Capitol Building where the rally will be held at 11 a.m.
The students are rallying to have Governor Jerry Brown and the state legislature increase higher education funding, protect the Cal Grant program, and provide financial relief to students and their families.
