March 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The Chattanooga Film Society (CFS) is continuing its presentation of the Southern Circuit independent film series on Monday, March 12th with a screening of “A Good Man” at Loose Cannon Arts and Events at 1800 Rossville Avenue in Chattanooga's south side. This documentary follows acclaimed theatre director/choreographer Bill T. Jones (Last Supper at Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Still/Here, FELA!) as he and his company create their most ambitious work, an original dance-theatre piece in honor of Abraham Lincoln’s Bicentennial.
Director Gordon Quinn (Executive Producer, Hoop Dreams) will be in attendance for a “meet and greet” session prior to the screening, which will open to ticket holders beginning at 6:30 P.M. The film will begin at 7:00 P.M. followed by a discussion with Mr. Quinn who will respond to questions and comments from the audience.
“This is a great opportunity to see another outstanding film that would not otherwise play in Chattanooga,” says CFS President Dave Porfiri. “Beyond the screening itself, the audience will have an opportunity to interact with the filmmaker and like-minded film patrons before and after the screening. This is what a first-class film event is all about.”
Tickets are available to anyone for $10 at the door and can be purchased online prior to the event at http://www.chattanoogafilmsociety.org/southerncircuit. Discounted tickets are also available to current CFS members.
