IC-TAG Solutions Partners with Impinj in providing Integrated RFID Solutions

IC-TAG Solutions, Inc., a credited UHF and HF RFID manufacturer that provides green solutions announced its executive partnership with Impinj, the leading global innovator of UHF Gen 2 RFID technology. For several years, IC-TAG™ has produced many RFID wristbands, key fobs, tags and labels that utilize inlays with Impinj’s Monza Tag Chips inside them.

“IC-TAG Solution’s partnership with Impinj will allow IC-TAG™ to offer their customers complete RFID solutions since IC-TAG™ is now authorized to sell Impinj’s RFID hardware and software,” said Olga Green, the marketing director for IC-TAG Solutions, Inc.  “IC-TAG™’S RFID products are now very compatible with Impinj’s products such as its RFID reader.”

Currently, IC-TAG™ sells Impinj’s Speedway®Revolution UHF RFID Reader, Speedway® xPortal™ RFID Reader, Speedway® Connect Software and RFID Reader Evaluation Kits.  Impinj’s Speedway® Revolution Reader utilizes green technology since it only reads tags within its field view eliminating unnecessary Radio Frequency (RF) noise.  Its reader also automatically selects a low duty cycle setting that matches its environment to greatly reduce RF interference and conserves energy.  IC-TAG™ is also environmentally conscious with its lean manufacturing.  Its warehouse is emission-free and reuses label scrapes as packaging fillers as well as saves energy by unplugging all electronic equipment after business hours.  

Impinj started providing Indy Tag Chips, Monza Tag Chips, Speedway readers and software in 2000. Its UHF Gen 2 systems are suitable for various industries including retail, pharmaceutical and airline.  In 2011, Frost and Sullivan awarded Impinj the Product Differentiation Excellence for creating the Monza 5 RFID tag chip.
