FL Motivational Speaker/Spoken Word Poet to Showcase at APCA National Conference

Carpenter will be showcasing in Jacksonville, FL at the APCA (Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities) National Programming Conference to showcase her passion within the motivational speaking and spoken word poetry realm.

Carpenter, who performs under the stage name, ‘Sabrina K.’, has traveled extensively over the last 12 years and has proven to be a positive force within the spoken word and motivational speaking genre and beyond. Versatile in performances that range from raw and edgy to the core of compassion, Sabrina K. is a natural leader and class act.

As a cancer survivor, spoken word poet, motivational speaker, author, literacy coach, entrepreneur, mother, radio show host, publisher and philanthropist, Sabrina K. has inspired and motivated thousands of people with her ability to evoke heartfelt emotion through stories of growth and perseverance.

Sabrina K.‘s spoken word poetry career began at age 16 at Wesleyan University. Infatuated by the expression of words and innate ability to transform the lives of those in her presence, Sabrina K.’s performances have been in high demand for over a decade.

Now the author of a poetry book, ‘Betting on One Percent’ and a children’s book, ‘The Adventures of Isaiah James: Beach Boy’, this well-rounded performer epitomizes the balance between business and the arts. Her latest book and CD release, ‘Pain-ted Faces’, will be debuting in 2012.  

Carpenter’s showcase at the APCA National Programming Conference in Jacksonville, FL will take place on March 17th at 1pm during Mainstage V.

“My goal is to develop more of a presence in the college scene. These early adult years are full of confusion, temptation and lack of direction. I was diagnosed with cancer at age 19, so you can only imagine how that added to the roller coaster of self-discovery. I’m relatable, fun and full of positive messages whether through my motivational speaking or my poetry. It’s a natural fit in the college scene.”
