-- Phoenix, Ariz.: The Terraces of Phoenix senior living community earned a five-star national rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Terraces is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) managed by ABHOW, a non-profit corporation that has been providing senior housing and health care for more than 60 years.
The five-star rating is the highest rating given by CMS. The rating indicates that The Terraces is performing at a level well above average for the state of Arizona. The rating is based on scores in health inspections, employee time spent with residents and clinical quality measures. The federal government mandates the annual health inspections for all communities that provide skilled nursing care.
“We are proud of the scores The Terraces received,” said ABHOW senior vice president and chief operations manager Jeff Glaze. “ABHOW welcomes these surveys and monitors the results to help us continue to provide quality care for our residents. Our hope is that people considering a move to a senior living community use ratings like these as part of their decision-making process.”
The Terraces is also accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission; accreditation is awarded to CCRCs demonstrating excellence in governance and administration, financial resources and disclosure, and resident life, health and wellness.
The Terraces of Phoenix offers a maintenance-
free lifestyle for older adults, with a selection of 217 residential living residences, along with a variety of cultural, social, educational and recreational activities. In addition, The Terraces provides residents a full continuum of on-site health care, if ever needed.
