Quality Life Center’s children prepare video for March 27th fundraiser gala

March 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Quality Life Center is preparing to celebrate 21 years of service to the community with a luncheon gala on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cohen Center at Florida Gulf Coast University, located at 10501 FGCU Boulevard South, Fort Myers, FL 33965. Media Arts Instructor Georgia Dawkins is working with the children in the Quality Life Center’s afterschool program to develop a short video depicting the education and arts enrichment taking place at the center, teaching her pint-sized crew all about researching, interviewing, recording, and editing film.  

Quality Life Center will be recognizing three organizations that have been working to transform the community in positive ways:  Florida Gulf Coast University, The News-Press and Lee Memorial Health Systems. Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been providing services for over 20 years in education, youth enrichment, personal and community development, and social services for at-risk youth and families in an extremely underserved area of Fort Myers.
