Agenda for the 2012 Crawfish Festival in the Heights (3-3-2012) Announced

March 1, 2012 - PRLog -- The line-up for the 2012 Crawfish Festival in the Heights, scheduled for Saturday, March 3, was announced today. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at SSQQ Dance Studio, located at 1431 West 20th St. and East T.C. Jester (next to Restaurant Depot) in the Houston Heights. Live music, children’s games and rides, as well as shopping with approximately 60 vendors will occur throughout the event. The car show will include 55 or more participating vehicles for event goers to peruse as well.

Agenda:
11 a.m.:    Doors Open

11:30 a.m.:   Fire Rescue Demo by the Houston Fire Department, including “jaws of life”
   Kids Train Opens

Noon:   Tribute to Veterans with performance by Reagan High School Junior     R.O.T.C.  Military Drill Team, followed by a balloon release

3 p.m.:   Fire Rescue Demo by the Houston Fire Department, including “jaws of life”

4 p.m.:   Scholarship Winners Announced

4:30 p.m.:   Car Show Awards Delivered, Raffle Prizes Announced and Auction of Morphis Art

5 p.m.:   Event Concludes

Times are subject to change but the above agenda is intended to serve as a general guideline.

Crawfish plate tickets can be purchased for the discounted price of $15 each through 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at http://www.HeightsChamber.com/CrawfishFestival. The first 1,000 people who purchase tickets will also receive a FREE car wash at Dr. Gleem (located at 3103 Ella Blvd., Houston, TX 77018). The car wash voucher is valued at $25 each.

Crawfish plate tickets will also be available on event day for $20 on a first come, first served basis. The crawfish food ticket buys a plate of crawfish, corn and potatoes as well as one drink (soft drink, water or beer). Other festival food will also be available for purchase at the event.
