Freezin’ For A Reason – 3rd Annual Spring Plunge And Cannonballs For Kids

March in New England.  It’s as unpredictable as….well….a snowstorm in October.  It could bring warm weather or more snow and ice.  But the one thing you CAN count on it bringing is a great benefit for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
On March 17, 2012, Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park will host the third annual Spring Polar Plunge to raise funds for the kids at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.  Registration begins at 11 a.m. and activities begin at 12 p.m. with a Pee-Wee Plunge for kids 10 and under.  The beach plunge takes place at 12:30 p.m. and the Cannonball Competition is at 1 p.m.
Admission is $25 for “plungers” and just $9 for those who’d rather watch people freeze their polar tooshies off.  Jump or plunge as an individual or a team. Net proceeds donated to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Our number one fan, Rocky from the Rock Cats will be huddled among our other celebrity judges to award prizes for teams and individuals that raise the most money.  There will also be an award for the best costume and of course for the best cannonball!
