Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- DIYacu.com has updated its acu-maps with click-to-zoom images of all WHO-approved acupuncture / acupressure points. The maps use Deep-Zoom technology to enable the professional or layman to locate acupuncture or acupressure points at the skin, muscle or skeletal levels.

DIYacu aims to make self-acu as accessible and affordable as possible. It is responding to the huge demand for free, well-designed and easily accessible information on acupuncture points and acupuncture treatments for use in self-acupuncture and community acupuncture.

The maps cover the 14 major meridians and miscellaneous body points, divided into the Arm Yin Meridians: lung, heart, pericardium. Arm Yang Meridians: sanjiao, large intestine, small intestine. Leg Yin Meridians: kidney, liver, spleen. Leg Yang Meridians: bladder, gallbladder, stomach and extra Du Mai and Ren Mai meridians. The layout is designed to be accessible to users without any prior knowledge of acupuncture points.

The maps are located at http://www.diyacu.com/acupuncture-points and are compatible with all major browsers without the need for external plugins.
