Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS — XYIENCE was recently named a finalist in the Best Website category of the 2011 FoodBev.com Awards, a competition that included submissions for websites launched in 2011 from both food and beverage brands. XYIENCE.com was selected from a competitive international field. The judging panel included members of FoodBev.com’s editorial team, industry brand managers and representatives from technology companies like Google.

XYIENCE launched its current website in December 2011 under the guidance of John Villari, the brand’s creative services manager. The new site includes a look that supports the brand’s growing national distribution. Villari explains that a cleaner look that will resonate with a broader audience. Already this year, XYIENCE has announced that Circle K renewed the national brand status of its award-winning sugar and calorie free energy drink Xenergy, as well as creating a relationship with GNC stores throughout the United States.

“The new XYIENCE.com reflects our brand’s forward thinking,” says Villari, though he notes it is not a departure from XYIENCE Xenergy’s long-time relationship with the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA).  “We are the official energy drink of the UFC and our brand is growing in parallel with the UFC and the sport of MMA. We’re seeing athletes and fitness enthusiasts incorporating MMA training principles to their routine, so we want to address that need through multi-media content.

Villari also notes that the new site includes a more seamless shopping experience in addition to the multi-media features that support the brand’s commitment to health and fitness.

XYIENCE received a number of honors in 2011: Convenience Store News named Xenergy Xtreme Fruit Punch 2011 Carbonated Beverage of the Year, Beverage World Magazine named XYIENCE a 2011 Breakout Brand and Beverage Spectrum featured the brand as a cover story in its June 2011 issue, which focused on energy drinks.
