SGS Receives Authorization as Control Agency Industrial Security in Catalonia, Spain

On July 19, 2011, SGS successfully received the authorization as the Control Agency Industrial Security in Catalonia, Spain by the Generalitat of Catalonia, an autonomous government, and thus became an even more important player in the region’s industrial sector (link to: http://www.sgs.com/en/Industrial-Manufacturing.aspx).

The authorization allows SGS to conduct regulatory safety inspections in various fields, including lifting and pressure equipment, high voltage, low voltage, storage of chemicals, gaseous fuel, refrigeration, thermal and petroleum facilities. With the authorization, SGS showcased its first-rate technical capacity, including human resources, devices and social liability insurance.
