The Face of Miss African Spirit SOUTH AFRICA - Launched

Feb. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Pageant Director Michelle Adams today announced the launch of Miss African Spirit South Africa. Preparations are underway for the pageant to be held in South Africa in coming years, starting with the launch of online photographic contest “The Face of Miss African Spirit South Africa”. Ladies of all shapes, sizes and shades aged 18-30 are invited to enter the contest free of charge, and the contest is open to those who are both South African citizens and currently resident in South Africa. Interested parties who wish to be involved as either a sponsor or licence holder for the future event Miss African Spirit South Africa pageant are invited to get in touch.

The Miss African Spirit Pageant was founded in the UK in 2009. Planning towards the 2012 event to be held in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom on 4th November is now underway, with a full program of contestant activities designed for entrants to emerge from the pageant having gained from several different experiences and self development opportunities.

Pageant Director Michelle said “From the outset I have wanted the pageant to be all about charity, and community, but also about African beauty which comes in all shapes, sizes and colours. We are also trying to positively raise the profile of both pageantry and African people in the Diaspora by providing a positive and professionally organised event. Run with the help of volunteers by Director Michelle Adams, the African Spirit Pageant is now in its 3rd year, and growing each year. This year, for the first time, a category for Males has been added for the title of Mr African Spirit – contestants are still being recruited. The pageant has been nominated for 2 BEFFTA awards, and boasts a professional production of the annual pageant event, which is held in Milton Keynes every year.
