Scottsdale, AZ Burger Restaurant Promotes Literacy with Spring Break Bueno Book Club

Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Local kids are invited to join the spring break Bueno Book Club during the month of March and will be rewarded for riding the reading rainbow.

Beginning March 1, budding readers can join the book club at Bueno Burger Mex American Grill, located at 6977 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale. Kids will have a month to read as many pages as they can and their efforts will be rewarded with tasty treats and prizes. Families are encouraged to stop in and pick up a Bueno Book Club membership card starting March 1. Parents will certify the reading efforts and rewards will be given at various benchmarks in each book.

In addition to the Bueno Book Club, Bueno Burger is launching “Wednesday Study Hall” weekly starting February 29. Parents and kids are welcome to relax in the comfort of Bueno Burger while enjoying free lemonade and treats from 3-4:30 p.m. (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to take advantage of this offer).

“Whether games or homework are on the agenda Wednesday afternoons, Bueno Burger loves our neighbors and we wanted to offer a fun after-school environment for parents and children to bond,” said Owner Gary Shaw.

Also, during the month of March, Bueno Burger will send thousands of bookmarks to Valley schools to promote reading and to reward kids in their classrooms. The bookmarks include a coupon for Bueno Bites, a delicious dessert snack.

Community-minded Bueno Burger continues their popular “Neighborhood Nights” every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Kids eat for $2 (with the purchase of one adult sandwich, side and drink) and beer and wine are ½ priced all night. Games are available and no television or cell phones are allowed.
