Glendale, AZ Couple Launches Unique Line of Fry Bread, Sells 60,000 in 5 Years

Five years ago, John and Alice Roach had a deep-fried dream. They wanted to create fry bread that was simple to make and tasted authentic like the fry bread they ate when they lived on an Indian Reservation in AZ. This dream is now a booming reality!

Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- The Roach family launched White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread Company in 2007. With 5+ years of success and over 60,000 fry breads sold at events and festivals all over the Southwestern US, White Eyes has their sights set on increasing their product exposure with a mobile food truck in Phoenix and distribution to restaurants and retail stores.

White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread is the only product of its kind in the United States.  The fry bread is commercially produced and shipped worldwide.  The breads are a perfect blend of milled flour, water and other secrets, and this frozen to fryer product matches up perfectly to the traditionally made bread.

The Roach family wanted to develop a product that mimicked the fry bread we all know and love from the State Fair, but one that was less time consuming to make.

“Our fry bread is built for speed,” said Owner and Head Fryer, John Roach, “No one can keep up with the number of servings per hour that is prepared from our mobile unit.”

For the home cook, co-founder Alice Roach said, “A handmade fry bread takes many minutes to make from start to finish. Our fry bread goes from freezer to plate after 20 seconds in a hot oil on your stove top, and it tastes identical to traditional fry bread.”

At events all over the southwest, many hungry fans have tasted White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread. They even took their mobile fry bread trailer to the 2008 and 2009 Super Bowls serving over 10,000 VIP guests.

Spurred on by over thousands of raving fry bread eaters, the Roach’s will open a mobile food truck version roaming the streets of Phoenix in March.

“We’ve had so many requests to serve it for lunch M-F instead of at various weekend festivals that we decided to give our customers what they want,” said John Roach.

White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread is currently served at the Heard Museum and Catch 22 Sports Grill in Phoenix. They will be expanding their restaurant and retail footprints in 2012 to include grocers and other dining establishments.

White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread believes that charitable giving is an important aspect of their growing business. They have volunteered at “Shop with a Cop” a holiday gift program for children in need and various school fundraisers. White Eyes Fresh Fry Bread is actively seeking charitable events to assist in 2012.

“We’re different from many other food trucks or vendors in the Valley because we are using our own, hand-crafted gourmet food product and we also offer frozen fry bread for purchase at events. We’ve got this gig down to a science and look forward to spreading the fry bread love,” said John Roach
