French Chef Andrée Rosier hosts Charity Dinner for Sala Bai at Heritage Suites Siem Reap, Cambodia

Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- On March 10th at Heritage Suites, the upscale Relais & Châteaux property in Siem Reap and young French Chef Andrée Rosier will hold a fund-raising dinner for Sala Baï. Its current students will assist throughout the event and its preparation.

Andrée Rosier, 34 years old, is already famous in France, being the first female Chef to be awarded the distinction "Meilleur Ouvrier de France", which is highly sought after. With her husband, she owns a restaurant in Biarritz, Les Rosiers, and another one in Tokyo, Eguzkilore.

Andrée Rosier promised to regularly support Sala Baï's students by concrete actions. She held her first fund-raiser in Paris with Régis Marcon, the famous Three Michelin Star Chef. The second fundraiser will be held on March 10th at Heritage Suites Hotel, marking the close cooperation between the school and the hotel (Sala Baï students make up for over half its service Staff).

Partners Warehouse and Celliers d'Asie are gracefully supplying fine wines and champagne.

"When Agir pour le Cambodge, the French NGO which founded Sala Baï, offered me to become the new patron of the school, I accepted right away. To get engaged with these young women who through hotel and restaurant skills will find a place in the professional world and will get out of poverty, really makes sense to me" says Andrée Rosier.

More than 800 young people with a 70% priority to girls have been trained at Sala Baï. They have all found a job within their one-year training, providing for themselves and their families. The vocational training taught at Sala Baï is definitely the fastest and most efficient way of fighting poverty and human trafficking.

The proceeds of this event will benefit Sala Baï. The price of the dinner, tasting menu, beverages and service included, is $90.00 per person.
