Indian Film Festival Japan submission annoucement

Mission - Indian Film Festival Japan aims at bringing both Indian and Japanese media together. By introducing Indian movies and culture to Japan, both media industries can create new arts and ventures.
 
Feb. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- The Indian Film Festival Japan (IFFJ) seeks narratives, documentaries, shorts, music videos, trailers, experimental, children's and animated films of any length and format for the film festival taking place October 2012 at Auditorium Shibuya, a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Tokyo. Jury and Audience Choice prizes will be awarded for best feature, documentary and short film.
IFFJ 2012 will show case rise in attendance, publicity, and support from all the Japanese media and audience. Over 4000 Indian movie fans will attend the festival over 7 days. Around 25 films will be screened.
In addition to providing a premier showcase for their films, IFFJ also fosters access for filmmakers to distributors, agents, producers and other entertainment professionals based in Tokyo through a series of industry events including the Awards, Seminars and our One-on-One program for participating filmmakers, Distributors and scriptwriters.

Submission Rules

*Films from or about India, with or without an Indian theme, made by Indian and international    filmmakers, produced in 2010 or later are eligible to be submitted.
*Films from Srilanka,Nepal,Pakistan and Bangladesh are encouraged to submit for a South Asian Arts Award section.
*Filmmakers may submit more than one entry with single submission.
*DVDs, Blue Ray, 35mm reel (DVDs preferably in NTSC format) accepted for submission screening. Submissions with Japanese or English subtitles are appreciated.
   
*DVDs, Blue Ray, 35 mm reels must be labeled with the title, running time, format (PAL or NTSC),
and contact information on the  label.
*If your film is selected, you will be required to provide one more DVD, Blue Ray
(NTSC) screeners, a press kit with press reviews, synopsis, full credits, film stills,
trailer (or film clips), posters, and a director's bio with a headshot. If you have sent
the information before, you need not send again.
   
*All filmmakers will be notified via email by September 1, 2012.
