By: RACV Resorts Extensions to the main lodge are scheduled to commence in April 2012 increasing the restaurant‘s capacity to 120 guests. With its floor to ceiling glass windows and magnificent views of the Bass Coast, the restaurant is a popular feature of the resort. Accessed by an automated sliding door from the restaurant, a new lounge bar area on the ground floor will cater for up to 120 people. This space is ideal for conference delegates to unwind with a quiet drink. An impressive conference centre is scheduled for development from mid 2012, with an expected completion early in 2013. The space will cater for up to 200 guests banquet-style or smaller numbers when the room is divided into two. Floor to ceiling glass windows will offer stunning views of the Bass Coast. Located on the same floor as the conference centre, two flexible function rooms are due to be ready for use by mid 2013, offering space for eight people in one room or up to 16 when the adjoining wall is removed. These extra facilities add to RACV Inverloch Resort’s growing reputation as a first-class facility, supported by the resort winning the 2011 RACV Victorian Tourism Award for Best Deluxe Accommodation. The Deluxe Accommodation category was one of the largest contested, with RACV's Inverloch Resort taking the honours over six other well known finalists for their outstanding bass coast accommodation. In awarding the Best Deluxe Accommodation to RACV’s Inverloch Resort, the judges praised the resort’s dramatic views, the clever design of the environmentally sensitive buildings, and the quality product offered to guests and conference delegates. As an RACV Victorian Tourism Awards winner, Inverloch Resort will go on to represent Victoria at the Qantas 2011 Australian Tourism Awards in Cairns in March 2012.
