Blue Ridge Mazda Announces Mazda to Partake in ‘Read Across America’

Feb. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Blue Ridge Mazda, the leading Kansas City, MO Mazda dealer, is proud to announce that Mazda North American Operations, MNAO, has recently joined forces with the National Education Association to raise money for “Read Across America—Driven by Mazda.” The tour started on Tuesday February 21, 2012 along both coasts and will conclude on March 3, 2012 hitting more than 20 plus cities.

MNAO has vowed to support this program by donating $25.00/per test drive, up to $1 million dollars, between the dates of February 20th to April 2nd.

Don Romano, Mazda North American Operations’ Chief Marketing Officer, stated that this initiative is very important to the people at Mazda stating that, "Every Mazda blends an envious combination of environmental, driving and safety performance. But the greater importance of our work this summer is our partnership with NEA's Read Across America tour.  With the involvement of every one of our 640-plus U.S. dealers, we have raised our long-standing commitment to support literacy across the U.S., helping our nation's children achieve peak performance through the gift of reading."

Throughout the trip’s entirety the “Road Across America Tour—Driven by Mazda” will be focusing on the Dr. Suess book, “The Lorax,” as it hits theaters on March 2nd.
