Rose Rundle to discuss successful event planning at Florida Public Relations Association March 6

The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) welcomes Rose Rundle, General Manager of Harborside Event Center who will speak on, “Events, Publicity and Having a Plan” at its next meeting on Tuesday, March 6th.

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association welcomes Rose Rundle, General Manager of Harborside Event Center who will speak on, “Events, Publicity and Having a Plan” at its next meeting on Tuesday, March 6 at Harborside Event Center, 1375 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901. Ms. Rundle will share insights in executing flawless and successful events from event production, committee management and working with or against challenging community calendars and projects. She will be joined by Don Paight, Executive Director of the Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency, who will touch on the upcoming canal project in downtown Fort Myers and how it relates to area events. An optional walking tour of downtown Fort Myers from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. will be included in the luncheon price and will showcase historical views and future plans for the River District.

Ms. Rundle joined Harborside Events Center in January 2002 with over 16 years of public assembly, sports, concert and special event experience. She is responsible for the overall management of the facility, including bookings, marketing, budgets and operations. She was formerly with the James L. Knight Center, Miami Arena, Reliant Park, Arena Football, NBA, NHL and the Don Shula Foundation. She has a BS in Sports Administration and a Master’s of Science in Leisure/Facility Management. She is also a graduate of Oglebay Public Assembly School and Leadership Lee County. Ms. Rundle is an active member of FEMA’s Emergency Management Mega-Shelter Assistance Team, IAAM and the Red Cross. Awards include the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s 2011 APEX Woman of the Year and the 2006 Governor's Point of Light.

The cost to attend the luncheon meeting is $20 for members, $25 for nonmembers, and $10 for students with advance reservations. Walk-ins are welcome for an additional fee of $5.
