RateTea Redesigns Brand Page For Searching Teas By Region And Type And Contacting Tea Companies

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- RateTea has redesigned their pages for brands of tea and tea companies, in order to make their website easier to navigate, specifically, drawing attention to the powerful features for searching, browsing, and filtering teas by region and type.  RateTea also added online contact information to the listing for each company.  This redesign has affected 300 pages on their site, and  was carried out in stages, the last major stage of which was completed Monday, February 21st, 2012.  RateTea is continuing to make ongoing, incremental tweaks to the pages.

The newly redesigned brand pages highlight the offerings of each tea company, with quick links at the top of each page to the major tea-producing regions and styles of tea represented in each company's catalogue.  These links are integrated into RateTea's powerful browse teas feature, which offers the capability of searching and filtering teas by region and sub-region, style (down to specific varieties of oolong, green, white, and black tea), and also filtering to view only pure teas, flavored teas, organic teas, fair-trade certified teas, or herbal blends.

RateTea uses a classification scheme that is internally consistent, classifying blends based on their ingredients and origins, rather than their names or what they are marketed as.  This feature will be of particular interest to those searching for accurate information on premium loose leaf tea, pure teas, and single-origin teas.

One of the most valuable resources in the newly redesigned tea brand pages on RateTea is the collection in one place, for each company, of the various online presences of the company.  For companies that have them, RateTea now lists Twitter names and Facebook pages (in the case of companies with unique URL names).  RateTea also has linked each of its pages to the listing of teas on Steepster, the website that is closest or most similar to RateTea.
