Celebrate St David’s Day With A Greetings Card From The Past

To commemorate Wales’ patron saint on 1 March West Glamorgan Archives has produced a special St David’s Day greetings card.
Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The card features the striking portrait of a young girl in a Welsh costume, taken in a photographic studio in Swansea around 1910, accompanied by a celebratory message to mark the national day.

County Archivist, Kim Collis, said, “Our range of Christmas cards always proves popular and we thought we would extend the range to incorporate St David’s Day.”

“St David’s Day cards are ideal for friends and family and are a fantastic way to celebrate our Welsh heritage and routes.”

“The image of the little girl in traditional Welsh costume is iconic and really illustrates how even though times have changed St David’s Day traditions still remain strong.”

St David’s Day cards are available from qacco West Glamorgan Archive Service in Swansea Civic Centre and the Mechanics Institute in Neath town centre.
