Temporiti, an attorney at the Gallop law firm in St. Louis (http://www.GallopLaw.com) is identified as one of the “Most Influential” people in metro St. Louis by the St. Louis Business Journal in the newspaper’s February 17-23, 2012 edition.  The newspaper developed its list of the 250 “Most Influential St. Louisans” for 2012 based on “the impact that each individual has made and continues to make on the St. Louis community,” its editors said.

Mr. Temporiti practices in Governmental Law & Relations, Business Services, Government Contracts, Gaming Law, and Economic Development and Public Finance at Gallop. He has extensive experience in representing corporate and institutional clients in matters involving local, state and federal government entities and agencies, including regulatory law, gaming law, TIF financing, bond financing, waste management and real estate matters, and all aspects of governmental relations.

Mr. Temporiti returned to Gallop in January 2007 as Of Counsel to serve clients after working successfully in business and public service.  From 1985 to 1996, Mr. Temporiti was a Partner at Gallop and served on its Management Committee.

Before rejoining Gallop, Mr. Temporiti was Chief of Governmental Affairs and Executive Vice President for Development for St. Louis County, Missouri. His executive service for St. Louis County included overseeing all governmental departments and agencies, and he managed all legislative initiatives in County, State of Missouri and Federal Government liaisons.  

In addition, his service for St. Louis County included overseeing economic development projects valued at more than $10 billion, including as Chairman of the Airport Area Redevelopment Intergovernmental Commission, which oversees redevelopment of approximately 600 acres of land east of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.  Beginning in 2006, Mr. Temporiti also helped manage successful election campaigns for St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley, who remains in office today.

Mr. Temporiti served as Chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party from 2007–2009. Before joining the St. Louis County executive staff in 2004, Mr. Temporiti was President and Chief Operating Officer of Vanliner Insurance Company, which is North America’s largest provider of insurance for the moving and storage industry. Previously, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Mayflower Transit, Inc., the fourth largest van line in the United States, and Executive Vice President of Unigroup, Inc., one of the nation’s largest privately-owned companies. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Temporiti served as Chief of Staff to St. Louis Mayor Vincent C. Schoemehl before joining Gallop and establishing the Administrative Law Department.

A native of St. Louis, Mr. Temporiti earned a Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a B.A. in Philosophy from Cardinal Glennon College. He is extensively involved in the regional community, serving on boards and committees for entities that have included Alexian Brothers Health Systems, Chaminade College Preparatory School, the Civic Entrepreneurs Organization, Downtown, Inc., the Regional Chamber and Growth Association Legislative Committee, the St. Louis Symphony Legislative Committee and the Missouri Economic Development Governor's Committee. Mr. Temporiti and his wife, Karen, have four children.
