Chelsea Rae Gregory, Miss South Carolina International Named Goodwill Ambassador

Feb. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Chelsea Rae Gregory who is the reigning Miss South Carolina International has been  named a Goodwill Ambassador for The Sandbox Organization who will host An Evening of Believing 2012 benefitting Levine Children's Hospital.  This is Ms. Gregory's second year with The Sandbox who used her last year as a Goodwill Ambassador and inspiration to the children who are patients of the hospital.  The prom is scheduled for September 28th this year.

The Sandbox hosted An Evening of Stars 2011 last September.  The prom was designed to give those patients who had missed their own school proms, due to treatment for various forms of cancer, a chance to experience that special night.  Chelsea was instrumental in collecting 100 gowns for the event from The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City in Nashville.  All in all, over 1000 gowns were collected in order to give the girls attending a chance to choose a  gown that made them feel special.  This year's goal is to collect more than 1500 in order to accommodate the increase in attendance The Sandbox hopes to achieve.  

There will be two " try on days" scheduled for August 4th and August 25th at the Hampton Inn in Phillips Square, Charlotte.  This gives the girls a chance to really chose the dress they will wear.  There is a need for larger sizes from 14 and up.
