Feb. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- What: Cycle Computing, providing proven, secure and elastic high performance computing (HPC) and open source solutions internally and in the cloud, announced today that they will exhibit at the 2012 The Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference.  CEO Jason Stowe will also serve as Chairperson for the conference on Monday February, 20. Cycle’s recent work with cloud cluster management has established them as a power player in computational modeling for life sciences. This month Cycle along with Eagle Genomics won a competitive bid by the Pistoia Alliance to support the development of a proof-of-concept system to meet the future needs of pharmaceutical R&D IT.

Contributing to their bid win, Cycle recently provisioned a 30,000 core cluster run for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company in their discovery research efforts. This meant 11 years worth of compute time was reduced to 37 minutes per year. Cycle is also in the process of determining the BigScience Challenge finalists, which offers the equivalent of eight hours of computation on a 30,000-core cluster to researchers who are working on behalf of non-profit organizations on projects to benefit humanity.

The Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference features over 288 technology and scientific presentations. Over a three day span attendees learn the newest trends and research breakthroughs in the industry organized over diagnostics, drug discovery, informatics, and cancer.

When: Sunday February 19, 2012- Thursday February 23, 2012

Where: Cycle Computing Booth  #104, Moscone North Convention Center, San Francisco, CA

Who: Cycle Computing CEO, Jason Stowe, will discuss the competitive Pistoia bid win, the BigScience Challenge, Cycle’s recent cluster run and its impact on clinical testing and research. Stowe can also speak to what the future holds for managing massive computing projects and reveal the correlation they have established between data driven clinical testing, genome sequencing and next generation computing strategies.
