Firestorm Expert Council Member Don A. Donahue, Jr., DHEd appointed as Advisory Member to AADM

Feb. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Atlanta Georgia, 02/17/2012 – Firestorm announces that Firestorm Expert Council Member Don Donahue, DHEd, MBA, FACHE, has been appointed as an Advisory Member to the American Academy of Disaster Medicine.

The American Academy of Disaster Medicine (AADM) is a unique volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and educating physicians and healthcare professionals concerning the critical importance of disaster medicine preparedness.

AADM Advisory Members function as Advisors and provide valuable recommendations, direction and guidance to the leadership of The American Academy of Disaster Medicine. Advisory Members to The American Academy of Disaster Medicine are distinguished leaders with interest, knowledge and experience in disaster medicine and preparedness.

Duties and responsibilities will include working with the Academy to identify areas of importance to the citizens of the United States in effectively preparing physicians for future disasters.

About Don Donahue, JR., DHEd, MBA, FACHE:  Certified in healthcare administration and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Center for National Preparedness of the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Donahue holds a BS in Sociology and Political Science from the University of the State of New York, an MBA from Baruch College, and a Doctorate in Health Education (DHEd) from A.T. Still University.  Dr. Donahue is an adjunct assistant professor with the University of Maryland University College and the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  He has served as Senior Fellow and Program Director for Health Policy & Preparedness of the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies and as an instructor for healthcare administration at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn.
