Studio Santosha Yoga, a Donations Based Yoga Studio, Now Open in Peoria, Arizona

Feb. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Peoria, AZ – Studio Santosha Yoga(SSY), a Co-Op run donations-based yoga studio, brings yoga to the Northwest Phoenix Valley, honoring the value of a yoga community. Studio Santosha Yoga was born out of a deep love for personal transformation and the desire to make yoga affordable for all income levels. There is a suggested after class donation of $12-$15 per class, however, it is always pay what you can. SSY is locally-owned and operated by 3 women who believe that yoga should be affordable to anybody and accessible to everyone. There are no expiration dates, contracts to sign, class cards to expire, or fees.

Located at 83rd Avenue and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria, AZ, at Studio Santosha Yoga, money is not the determining factor as to whether you can practice at the studio. All you need is to show up for a class – then give what you can in support of the teacher. A donation is a grateful act of giving and the instructors at SSY do not get paid from the studio but instead pay to rent the studio space to teach the class and are only reimbursed through the gracious donations of the students. Donations will be going directly to supporting the instructor that guided the class and help the yoga community grow in a positive way.

Class options at SSY include levels 1-3, vinyasa, restorative, flow, yoga nidra, yin, yinyasa, yoga basics, pilates, core yoga, fit yoga, and kundalini yoga. Other services, such as private yoga sessions, yoga therapy and Reiki healing is also offered on an appointment basis.

Studio Santosha Yoga teachers all meet students where they are and help carry them forward into where and who they want to be. Our instructors are all highly trained and love working with first time yogis to the advanced yogini and everyone in between. From the moment you walk into the humble space you’ll feel uniquely safe allowing you to experience a full spectrum class with fine-tuned verbal instructions, knowledgeable and therapeutic adjustments, as well as poetic insight into the yogic tradition.  There will be personal catering to all levels of practitioners, from those just beginning to those deepening an advanced practice.
