Feb. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Under the Alsure brand, the AD & C Group is pleased to have secured an exclusive UK hire and sale agreement with Wakefield-based Deborah Services Ltd.

The contract relates to Alsure’s ‘tried and tested’ One-Bay stair unit which will be available for hire or sale at a selected number of Deborah’s 30 UK branches throughout the UK.

Alsure’s One-Bay stair unit is just one of the innovative access solutions created by the Birmingham manufacturer, developed to enhance safety and aid access and egress when working at height. The company provides a wide- range of easy to use scaffolding accessories that ensure its users are fully compliant with the current ‘working at height’ regulations.

David Smith, Alsure’s managing director is delighted to be associated with Deborah Services as the company has a reputation for excellence within the diverse sphere of its operations. He said: “Deborah Services is a name synonymous with quality and safety as ‘the’ leading suppliers of scaffolding and light access products, so to be linked with them is fantastic brand kudos for us.

“Obviously the agreement is a great opportunity for us but I think it’s important for both parties to recognise that it will make the One-Bay stair unit more accessible to a much wider user group. Ensuring safety when working from height remains the most important objective for responsible employers in the SME sector who employ personnel required to work at height.

“For one-man-band builders and smaller contractors this type of equipment has traditionally been viewed as too expensive to buy directly from the manufacturer. Under Deborah Service’s huge distribution capability and the economies of scale that come with much larger organisations the One-Bay will be far more accessible with options for hire or purchase.”

Each component of the light aluminium One-Bay stair unit weighs less than 25 kg and is easy to handle by one person and therefore fully compliant with solitary working practice regulations. It can be used with any standard tube and fitting scaffolding and its unique bolted cleat construction eliminates the risk of weld failure.

Deborah Services has been in business for over 40 years and is a leading supplier of temporary fencing, ground work equipment, scaffolding, light access products, ladder plant and temporary roofing equipment. The company prides itself on only stocking products supplied by proven manufacturers. Its extensive portfolio of services also include insulation, asbestos removal, passive fire protection, protective coatings and industrial rope access across the petrochemical, power generation, nuclear power, civil engineering and business sectors.

DSL Hire & Sales Divisional Director, Roger Hastie comments: ‘‘DSL are delighted to have formed a contractual relationship with Alsure, which will help support the development of new innovative access equipment within our product portfolio. The new One Bay temporary staircase system offers scaffold contractors an advanced alternative to existing dated staircases available on the market today. This in turn has enabled DSL to continue to develop our expertise in the Hire and Sales sector.”
