Feb. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) just learned that Medivir AB (OMX: MVIR), a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on infectious diseases, has announced that its cold sore product Xerclear®, is being launched for over-the-counter (OTC) use by its partner GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in Europe. The oral herpes treatment will be marketed under the trade names Zoviduo and Zovirax Duo in Europe.

GlaxoSmithKline has the exclusive right to market and distribute Xerclear® in Russia, Japan, India, Australia and Europe.

In Europe, the first wave of product launches for Xerclear® will take place beginning in February. The five countries where it will first appear for OTC use are the Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovakia, Portugal and Poland.

Medivir’s CEO, Maris Hartmanis said “Few companies of our size have experienced the launch of a product, developed in-house, that is now being introduced in Europe and has also been available in the US since last spring. This strengthens Medivir in our efforts to develop new drugs and is yet another step toward our goal of becoming profitable.”

What is Xerclear®?

Xerclear® is made up of Aciclovir (an antiviral medication, usually sold as Zovirax) and Hydrocortisone (a steroid medicine designed to reduce inflammation in the body.)

In many instances, people can expect side effects from antiviral drugs used to treat oral herpes infections, including Aciclovir. Side effects can include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, changes in vision, and sensitivity to sunlight. Severe reactions can include difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; and aggressive behavior. They can also include rashes, hives, and itching. (This is not an complete list of possible side effects.)

In contrast, Gene-Eden-VIR, an affordable, safe and effective Herpes remedy that has been on the market for over three years, has had absolutely no reports of side effects whatsoever.

When the Herpes virus invades the body, it can store dormant, sleeping copies of itself (imagine an army of militant viruses) in one of the body’s nerves. When the virus is not active, the person is not sick. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says “Some viruses…can enter a state known as latency in which the virus is not being replicated. In the latent state, the virus does not cause disease.”

However, inactive or dormant copies sometime “wake up” and begin to make war on the host. Anyone who has had a fever blister or cold sore experienced an awakening of the herpes virus (HSV-1). The oral herpes outbreak that results is comparable to viral stormtroopers making a surprise, hit-and-run attack on the face.

What can one do against the dormant herpes virus? The CBCD believes that Gene-Eden-VIR, developed by the biotechnology company polyDNA, is a powerfully effective answer.

Although Gene-Eden-VIR is not a drug or a cure, the CBCD is not in the habit of making false or misleading recommendations. The claims for Gene-Eden-VIR are not hype.

In fact, as mentioned above, Gene-Eden-VIR is a natural remedy that boosts the immune system against the army of sleeping (latent) HSV viruses. The CBCD believes that Gene-Eden-VIR is a solid product based on cutting edge research, data and studies.

Most people may wonder whether Gene-Eden-VIR is an affordable, safe and effective Herpes remedy.

In regard to affordability, Gene-Eden-VIR is sold exclusively online through the gene-eden.com website. A bottle costs $34.99 and includes a month’s supply of Gene-Eden-VIR.

Gene-Eden-VIR is completely safe. Imagine, no nausea, no dizziness, no drowsiness, no vision problems. No side effects at all!

In addition, each bottle is GMP certified, which means that the product is keeping good manufacturing practices as outlined by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Gene-Eden-VIR is highly effective against the dormant HSV virus. Each capsule contains a patented formula of five natural ingredients. These ingredients are listed on the Gene-Eden website.

Each ingredient was selected after extensive research through a scientific method developed by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The method is based on electronic and manual analysis of thousands of scientific and medical papers published on the antiviral nature of each ingredient.

The abstracts of these scientific papers are available on pubmed.gov where individuals can find real scientific references explaining exactly what works, why it works, and how it works.

“Gene-Eden combines several proven substances that work harmoniously to help boost the body’s own immune system or have other antiviral properties. The scientific data with regard to the immune enhancing and antiviral properties published in reputable sources on each individual compound in the Gene-Eden formula is impressive. Use of this product clearly has scientific merit based on published material.” – Dr. Norman Cohen, MD

The CBCD believes that the Gene-Eden-VIR website located at http://www.gene-eden.com can help individuals gather more information on the conditions caused by the Herpes virus. It also provides resources for infected individuals that would like to reclaim their lives. It is the CBCD’s opinion that the Gene-Eden-VIR website can provide the information needed to help individuals with a Herpes infection back on a path toward overall wellbeing.

The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD, http://www.cbcd.net) is a research center recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. The mission of the CBCD is to advance the research on the biology of chronic diseases, and to accelerate the discovery of treatments for these diseases.

The CBCD published the “Purple” book entitled “Microcompetition with Foreign DNA and the Origin of Chronic Disease” written by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The book presents Dr. Polansky’s highly acclaimed scientific theory on the relationship between the DNA of latent (chronic) viruses and the onset of chronic diseases. Dr. Polansky’s book is available as a free download from the CBCD website.

We invite biologists, virologists, and scientists everywhere to download Dr. Polansky’s book here: http://cbcd.net/.
