Fresh Young Adult Novel Offers New Kind of Hero to Fawn Over

Feb. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- In April, 2011, author Jan Fischer Wade signed a contract with MuseItUp Publishing to publish her debut novel, Veiled Virtues. The novel, a young adult romantic fantasy, was released in ebook form on February 10th, 2012, with the print version releasing later in the year.

Veiled Virtues follows Paige, a young woman who ventures to England for a house-sitting job. While there, she fears the home is haunted and seeks out the help of a local new age shopkeeper. Little does she know that an evil faction has begun a relentless pursuit of her, and that an equally strong group of modern day knights has her back.

The author cleverly mixes the genres of contemporary romance, fantasy, paranormal and mystery and creates a vivid cast of characters, whose unique abilities add depth and keeps readers on their toes.

The novel’s release ahead of the London summer Olympics captures the growing interest about England and its history. Modern day English knights may just beat out vampires, angels and wolves in this summer’s teen reading adventures.

Fischer Wade is an alumni of Beatrice High School and received her Bachelor’s of Science, cum laude, from Ball State University. She also attended the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate with distinction in 1999.
