Holy Family Productions to hold “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown” auditions February 27 & 29
Holy Family Productions will hold "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" auditions for 6 main parts and chorus on February 27 & 29, 2012 from 6:30–9pm in the Holy Family Catholic Church Parish Life Center. Visit holyfamilyproductions.com for info.
Based on the beloved comic strip by Charles M. Schultz, “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown” chronicles an average day for Charlie Brown, his sister Sally and friends Lucy, Linus, Schroeder and Snoopy as each contemplate life through the lens of childhood innocence. In this 1999 revised version of the original 1967 production, the Peanuts gang takes us on a melodic journey of young love, ideals and imagination with memorable numbers such as My Blanket and Me, The Kite, Snoopy and My New Philosophy.
Specific rolls needed include 4 men, 2 tenor and 2 baritone; 2 women, 1 soprano and 1 alto; and people of all ages interested in joining our chorus. Please be aware all characters are 5–6 years old.
To audition please prepare an up-tempo song, be ready to sing scales and perform a dry read from the script. All roles are un-paid.
Holy Family Productions is also looking for volunteers interested in working behind the scenes as house managers, stage hands, ushers, set builders and with concessions. No experience necessary.
