By: Claudius Thompson February 9th, 2012 Press Release “Five Hoops Care International participants have returned from Nigeria where they attended the 4th annual ‘Hope 4 Girls’ National Basketball Camp. Cecelia Arthur, Bakatsir JHS Joana Dansoah, St. Monica’s Girls JHS Ajata Iddrisu, Aggrey Memory Zion Secondary School Matilda Gordon, Aggrey Memory Zion Secondary School and Nana Ama Quansah, Ola Boarding, received special invitations to participate in the event. Hope 4 Girls is an internationally recognized NGO that is dedicated to the increased participation and empowerment of disadvantaged young African girls in sports, using education as the vehicle to deliver its message. The Hoops Care International girls participated in trainings, and learned new drills in addition to learning about the prevention of STIs, abuse, and hygiene. At the end of the camp the girls took part in an all-star match.
