Fort Worth, TX – February 1, 2012 – Just Between Friends (JBF) of Fort Worth, Texas’ largest children’s and maternity consignment sales event is hosting their eighteenth semi-annual sale.  The one-stop shopping sales experience became a staple during the faltering economy as bargain shoppers sought to stretch their declining budgets.  With the average shopper saving between 50% to 90% off of retail pricing, Just Between Friends was a concept whose time had come.  Even now with economic indicators on the rise the popular sales event is tracking to have the strongest sale season yet.

Held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, February 29 – March 5, 2012,
the semi-annual sale features hundreds of thousands of items that includes name-brand
and boutique children’s spring and summer attire; baby equipment, electronics, and toys.
A portion of the sale’s proceeds as well as unsold items are donated to local charities,
Community Enrichment Center’s Open Arms Program, Teen Lifeline, and Fort Worth Metro.

Started with modest beginnings in Morrison’s living room, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth has grown to a colossal sale requiring over 75,000 square feet of space.  Now in their eighteenth season, the upcoming event is expected to have more attendees than ever.
Quotes:  Joanie Morrison, Co-Owner, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth
“The kind of growth our company has seen over the past few years is unparalleled,” stated Joanie Morrison, Co-Owner, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth.  “What we thought was a temporary increase in sales due to the failing economy has become the norm.  People who never would have thought of consigning their children’s items have now become loyal customers.”

“Our consignors love the fact that they can make money by selling their gently used clothing and items while bettering our community through our exceptional area charities.  Additionally, shoppers are thrilled when they see beautiful brand-name and designer merchandise at a fraction of what they would pay in retail stores,” said Morrison.  “It is a sale where everyone wins - our consignors as they sell their items, our shoppers as they enjoy remarkable savings, and our community as our three preferred charities receive a portion of our proceeds and leftover merchandise,” she said.

Quotes:  Pam Willingham, Co-Owner, Just Between Friends of Fort Worth
“Our sale remains the largest in the state,” said Willingham.  “People come to JBF Fort Worth time and time again as they know our sale has quality, safe items for their children.  Additionally, people are pleased we make the effort to further serve DFW families with our donations to our charity partners.”

“Most of people who participate in our sale come to both consign and shop,” commented Willingham.  “This allows them to sell items their children no longer can use or need, and then turn around and buy new things without having to spend any out-of-pocket money.  It really is the ultimate in repurposing.   And with our commitment to area charities, a JBF Sale really is a win/win/win,” she said.

***Interviews with Morrison and/or Willingham may take place between now and sale end date of Mon, March 5th for advance taping or scheduling purposes.  Early opportunity for interview and visuals at Pre-Sale, Wed, Feb 29th and Thu, March 1st***
