Feb. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Ideas for AV, an audio visual and information technology (AV/IT) collaboration group releases its white paper “Mission Possible: Collaboration”, a report that highlights reasons the two industries can improve if they decide to work together. Ideas for AV compiled results from over 100 professionals in the AV/IT industry.

Some highlights include:
-40% said that finding the right technology solution is difficult
-44% said that finding the right talent to solve their technology problem was difficult
-97% of responders invested in technology within the past year
-30% believed that the AV/IT problems they had were due to the technology within their organization

“The industry needs to adapt and collaborate to catch up with the technology,” says Ideas for AV president, Bill Brown. “The ability to combine AV/IT solutions is already here; our industry must reflect that change in order for us to provide the best service to our customers.”

Brown, a veteran of the AV/IT industry, saw the need to collaborate the AV/IT convergence was begun to receive more attention of the ultimate user. As the white paper brings out, the reactive nature of the audio visual industry will complement the proactive nature of IT. He suggests that as these professionals work together, they can “help improve each other’s bad habits.”
