Aven Macro View Video Inspection System Eases Factory Floor Quality Checks

Feb. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- A compact, easily relocated microscope with display screen simplifies quality checks at any stages of manufacturing or fabrication.

    The new Macro View Video Inspection System from Aven, Inc. features a wide field of view and 144 mm (5.7-inch) working distance, ideal for quality monitoring of parts, other materials and finished products. It can be moved and set up readily in production areas for spot inspections, avoiding a need for multiple units.

    Two parfocal lenses enlarge objects 8 times or 12 times for display of clear, crisp image displays on a 10-inch LCD screen that's part of the system. Brightness is assured by adjustable LED lights.

    "Macro View is an economical tool for inspecting solder joints, precision parts, circuit boards and other items right on the shop floor," says Mike Shahpurwala, president of the Michigan-based optical instrument supplier. "Engineers or production managers can spot gaps, hairline cracks, fractures or other microscopic defects."

    The system is practical for quality assurance applications in medical device manufacturing, electronics assembly, semiconductor production, textile weaving and other critical process checks. A 2x auxiliary lens option is available.
