Simple Steps On How To Make Green Tea

Green tea is a term used to refer to tea that is prepared using green tea leaves that have not been fermented, using the appropriate procedure. Green tea is a healthy and refreshing beverage that is usually taken after meals.

The first step on how to make green tea is simple; get your ingredients and prepare your equipment. You need:

-about 5 grams of green tea per cup

-clean water

-3 empty tea cups

-oven or electric kettle

-tea pot

-water purifier

The second step on how to make green tea is, understanding preparation tips.

-Tap water might have a taste that affects the quality of green tea by affecting it's aroma and flavor. You can however counter this by purifying your water using a water purifier to ensure elimination of other tastes and smells in tap water.

-Assume that a tea spoon is equivalent to 5 grams and therefore, put a teaspoon per cup. It has been proved to be the best amount of green tea per cup for a high quality and natural tasting tea.

The third step on how to make green tea is, following the correct procedure.

-Ensure that everything is clean and ready for use.

-Pour a sufficient amount of water in the pot and heat while examining the temperature of your water. Note, the correct temperature should be within the range of 80 to 85 degrees Celsius. This is because, when green tea is subjected to high temperatures like that of boiling water, it looses its natural taste and aroma.

-You may not require a thermometer, just remove your water from heat when it is about to boil. At this point, the temperature is around 93 degrees Celsius or 200 F.

-Pour the hot water into the tea pot and fill it completely. At this point the temperature will have dropped to around 85 degrees Celsius or 185 F. The teapot absorbs and the surrounding absorbs heat leading to the temperature drop.

-Wait for approximately one and half minutes and pour the hot water into your 2 cups and drain the remaining water from the tea pot. The cup material also absorbs an amount of heat lowering the temperature such that it is within the required range of 80 to 85 degrees Celsius.

-Add a teaspoon in each cup and wait for your green tea to warm. Finally, pour the contents in the cups into the tea pot again and brew the mixture for about 2 minutes. At this point, you can smile because your favorite green tea is ready.

After passing through the procedure for several times, you will be an expert and enjoy the full natural taste of green tea. in addition, you will be able to tell the difference between green tea of low quality and high quality.
