Miller YMCA in Newbury Park Adds Two Directors

Feb. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- NEWBURY PARK, CALIF.--Two new directors have joined the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park, according to Katie Beck the Miller YMCA's executive director.

   Kara Hensley is the new Healthy Living & Aquatics Director. She began her YMCA career as a lifeguard at the Conejo Valley YMCA in 2001 and continued to work at various YMCAs in both California and North Carolina. Her most recent position was aquatics director at the Jonathan Club in Santa Monica.

   Julie McConville is the new Youth Development Director. McConville has been a fitness instructor at the Y and managed and ran her own daycare for 12 years.

   "Both Julie and Kara bring a fresh eye to our existing programs and creativity in implementing new programs," says Beck. "They truly care about offering our community the quality programs that support individuals and families in living happy, healthy lives."
