NGA Pro Golf Tour's Aussie Nicky Litherland Appoints Caddie
Nicky Litherland is proud to announce the appointment of PGA of America member Doug Firth to the role of Caddie for the upcoming 2012 NGA Pro Golf Tour season.
By: NL Golf Media Division
Firth has been in the golf industry for over 45 years spanning a competitive amateur golf player to obtaining PGA of America status. From Salt Lake City Utah the 52 year old is very excited about the 2012 season. “Being chosen to be part of Nicky Litherland’s future is a dream come true. Knowing I did not have the capacity to compete as a player at such at level meant the next best thing was to caddie for someone who I believe has the potential”, says Firth.
With an in-depth knowledge of distances and topography gained from years being involved in photogrammetry Firth is the person Litherland wants on his bag when it comes to yardages. "This was a crucial decision that had the potentiality to either make or break my debut season on the NGA Pro Golf Tour. Appointing a suitably qualified individual with solid family and moral values was the primary instigator for selecting Doug from the multitude of applicants received!” states Litherland.
The pair has already commenced strategizing for the first event of the 2012 NGA Pro Golf Tour season, the Members Only Shootout at Black Bear Golf Club in Eustis Florida 22-24 February 2012, and will no doubt be a formidable team in 2012.
