After completing an MSW degree at the Kent School of Social Work in 1977, the author gained clinical experience in counselling and psychotherapy in hospital and private practice settings during more than 30 years of working with people seeking help. He began the Counsellor Training Institute in 1985 expanding to five cities, and founded the national Professional Counsellors Association.
