Feb. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Young Americans Center for Financial Education, a Denver-based non-profit that develops the financial literacy of youth and young adults, announced today it has three new additions to the Board of Directors.

Curt Foust joins the board representing Janus Capital Group, which has held a board seat in the past through various individuals.  Mr. Foust is responsible for corporate matters related to Janus Capital Group Inc. and its subsidiaries, and also holds a seat on the board of the Janus Foundation.  He is a Denver native with young children who enjoy the programs of Young Americans.

David Mead founded the Mead Consulting Group in 1981.  This group works closely with CEOs and business owners of mid-size companies to help them create value and leverage business strengths.  Mr. Mead has a long history of entrepreneurship, founding six companies through the past decades.  His experience will be an asset to Young Americans, which is focusing on the growth of its entrepreneurship programs.

Patrick Quinlan has been the CEO of three successful startup companies, the most recent being Rivet Software.  In March 2011, the Denver Business Journal recognized Quinlan as one of Denver's "Forty Under 40" and Quinlan was also a 2011 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist.  Also in 2011, Mr. Quinlan was recognized as a Presenting Mentor to a young business owner for Young Americans’ youth business competition, the Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs.

“These new board members bring a diverse range of experiences and views to the board of Young Americans,” said Young Americans President and CEO, Richard Martinez.  “They join a strong group looking to evolve our programs over the next few years, while continuing to focus on encouraging financially responsible youth to prosper in the free enterprise system.”
