2012 Red Carpet Rendezvous - Fundraiser and 20th anniversary for The Center for Volunteer Caregiving

The Fundraiser for The Center for Volunteer Caregiving is an opportunity for the community to understand more about this organization and the support it provides individuals who live there. All proceeds go to support The Center and it's programs.

Feb. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The Center for Volunteer Caregiving,  a non-profit organization celebrating 20 years of service in Wake County, invites you to a special event, the 2012 Red Carpet Rendezvous  to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 6:30 -9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Fallon Center in Raleigh, NC.

The evening is the perfect opportunity to enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, desserts and coffee, and a special performance by the Cary Players written and presented for this special anniversary called “Benchmarks,” and the introduction of the Center’s Honorary Board Members. In addition, there will be a Silent Auction with the opportunity to bid on Broadway shows at DPAC, restaurant gift certificates, unique jewelry, Disney hopper passes, and out of town get-aways. Also, for the first time there will be the Wall of Wine raffle where guests will have the opportunity to receive a "mystery" bottle of wine.

The Center’s mission is to provide volunteer services to help Wake County seniors, family caregivers, and adults with disabilities maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

With fewer children available to provide assistance to older family members, informal caregiving is a more challenging and stressful than in previous years. For those living alone, social isolation may be compounded by the inability to drive oneself.

The Center for Volunteer Caregiving offers a solution and is committed to ensuring services are provided with no fees. Our volunteers make this possible through the three core services offered: transportation, respite and caregiving support, and in home services.

Please save the date and we hope to see you there. Tickets are $50 each (all the proceeds go to the The Center for Volunteer Caregiving) and can be purchased on line at http://www.volunteercaregiving.org/redcarpetrendezvous or at the event.
