CEO named Keynote Speaker at Lenoir Community College’s Black History Month Program

Feb. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Monica C. Dowe, CEO/Senior Event Manager, will speak "A Diverse World Showing Courage and Strength Together" on February 29, 2012 at noon. This program is free and open to the public.

“I am so honored to be the keynote speaker for this Black History Month program,” said Dowe. “It gives me the opportunity to address the students and community of Lenoir Community College and highlight how events can and have changed the course of history.”

Among the topics to be discussed:
•   Contributions made by Blacks in society
•   Emphasize several pioneers past, present, and future
•   The importance of completing a postsecondary degree

About the Speaker:
Ms. Dowe, has over 10 years experience in event planning and leadership development. Monica has a Master’s degree from East Carolina University in Recreation and Leisure Services Administration. Monica has successfully managed large scale festivals and galas for the non-profit sector; social events; company award ceremonies and leadership conferences. Monica founded, I’m With Them Events, LLC, because she strongly believes events have the power to change and improve relationships.
