Feb. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Jennings, Haug & Cunningham is pleased to announce that it has expanded its legal services with the addition of a prominent Arizona environmental law practice group.  The group of three partners is led by senior partner Karen Gaylord and includes Ronnie Hawks and Janis Bladine. The three attorneys have been representing clients across the state in environmental law matters ranging from basic permitting to the most complex environmental law processes.

“Adding this well-known environmental law team to the firm allows us to offer our clients from across the country a new range of services in Arizona, which is very appealing,” said John Sinodis, managing partner at Jennings, Haug & Cunningham. “We feel that they are an excellent compliment to the firm, bringing services that are particularly sought here in Arizona,” he added.

Karen Gaylord has represented clients in Arizona for twenty-five years. She is known for assisting with the development of the state’s environmental standards in key areas of environmental law. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience with a broad range of regulatory programs and environmental services, including state and Federal superfund law; hazardous waste, solid waste and special waste remediation programs; water and air quality; NEPA compliance; environmental issues in Indian country; securing approvals for the development of Brownfield and other potentially contaminated properties; and endangered species issues.

Karen earned her law degree from Arizona State University College of Law in 1984. She serves on the WQARF Advisory Board, the Underground Storage Tank Policy Commission, and many other environmental boards and commissions.

Ronnie Hawks’ practice concentrates primarily on environmental and regulatory matters involving state, federal, and tribal environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, state and federal superfund laws, solid and hazardous waste laws, and the Endangered Species Act. He represents clients in judicial and administrative proceedings as well as in private transactions and negotiations. Ronnie earned his law degree from Arizona State University College of Law in 1998.

Janis Bladine’s practice is focused in environmental law and municipal law, advising clients on superfund site development, waste disposal, wastewater, water quality, NEPA compliance, and environmental permits. She graduated with cum laude honors from Arizona State University College of Law in 1997.
