He opened his practice with the vision of giving his patients the stunning smiles they always wanted. To this day, Dr. Matrullo continues to provide the highest quality of general dentistry and cosmetic smile reconstruction.
Dr. Matrullo discovered his passion for dentistry in the beginning of high school when he began to discover his artistic talents and his curiosity in medicine. He received a B.S. is Biology from Providence College where combining his interests, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry. He followed his enthusiasm for the dental arts to New York University where he received his DDS degree, and later to Harvard University where he received his degree in implantology.
Making the best of his achievements and credentials, Dr. Matrullo finds giving back to the community a rewarding experience. He founded a child identification program in Cranston, Rhode Island, for which he was awarded a Citation from the city of Cranston. He is a former president of the Cranston Dental Society and a former Crusade Chairman of the American Cancer Society. In 1995, he founded the Paul J. Dr. Matrullo uses some of the latest in dental technology, including digital radiography, intra-oral cameras, and dental lasers. He enjoys improving his patients' smiles because it makes a positive impact on their self-confidence and overall health. Seeing how a new smile can light up a room is the most rewarding experience of being a dentist for Dr. Matrullo.
Dr. William R. Bebrin, DMD, DMSc has been the orthodontics associate with Dr. Matrullo's practice for more than 17 years. Operating in a family practice, he enjoys treating both children and adults. Dr. Bebrin advocates that orthodontic treatment is suitable for any patient, regardless of age. He especially values the one-on-one contact with his adult patients because it gives him the opportunity to educate them how the proper orthodontic treatment plan can have a positive impact on their smile and overall oral health. With adults, Dr. Bebrin's most popular procedure is Invisalign because it offers the same results as traditional orthodontics without the need for the placement of braces.
Dr. Bebrin also pioneered the technique of using miniature temporary dental implants to assist in the orthodontic movement of teeth. Using these implants, he has been able to shorten the total treatment time of some cases by months, and in many cases eliminate the need for extractions, headgears, and elastics.
Dr. Bebrin received his DMD from the University of Connecticut, his DMSc from Harvard Medical School, and his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In addition to his doctorate degrees, he received the Dentist Scientist Award from the National Institute of Health.
