Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- TUSTIN, Calif. -- Tom Ross and Richard Katz, two veteran California political operatives, will keynote a discussion on the effects the upcoming Presidential election will have on California businesses, and Orange County businesses in particular, at the Association for Corporate Growth Orange County Chapter’s (ACG OC) monthly forum on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 5:00PM-7:30PM at Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, Costa Mesa, California.

Mr. Ross and Mr. Katz will examine critical topics such as the budget crisis, tax reform, Federal stimulus programs, healthcare, pension reform, and the coming water crisis, and will conduct a follow-up Q&A session afterwards. “Many of the major issues facing the State are complex. As a result, it is important that business leaders get the facts about what is going on, potential solutions, and their impact,” they explained.

“Getting an insider’s perspective on what this election year has in store for the Orange County business community is essential in these turbulent times,” said ACGOC president Dave Krajanowski, managing partner at SingerLewak LLP. “This event will provide our members with insight regarding recent actions in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. – perspectives that are crucial to making good business decisions. We will hear about how California’s political landscape will affect how we do business and we’ll learn about the issues, candidates and propositions before casting ballots.”

Tom Ross has more than 15 years of combined legislative, political and PR experience as one of California’s leading Republican operatives.  He works with federal, state and local candidates on coalition building, campaign and issue management and strategic planning.

Richard Katz owns a successful public policy and government relations firm based in Los Angeles, brings a vast knowledge of all levels of government, and has worked with Mayor Villaraigosa, Governor Davis, and many other Democratic leaders.

Admission to the event is free for members who pre-register, $25 at the door, and $50 for non-members. For more information or to register, call 714-259-1224 or email director@acgoc.org or access http://www.acgoc.org.
