Francesca Paternò presents "Ouverture" her new collection for 2012

Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- A wide range of cultures and influences merge and blend together: one-shoulder necklines seem reminiscent of the Ancient Greece and so are the skirts, long and flowing like peoples; satin and lace meet in a nostalgic mix of tradition and sophisticated romance; the cut is harmonious and feminine, while the cocktail dresses are more playful and use a bolder palette of vivid colours full of personality.

Every gown is - as usual - entirely handmade in Italy with the highest-quality materials and techniques. Mikado, chiffon, duchesse satin: silk has always been the epitome of elegance and Francesca Paternò's creations are timeless. Her atelier is, in fact, called La Via della Seta (The Silk Road) and evokes the historical routes used by merchants to trade the most precious goods.

The ad campaign was shot by Spanish fashion photographer Toni Mateu and the shooting took place in Barcelona. A romantic atmosphere permeates every picture, as a cascade of antique pages surrounds the statuesque models and the ethereal fabric of the gowns gracefully dances in the air.

Ouverture is like a symphony that joyously celebrates the triumph of Beauty.
