Hollywood News & Entertainment Media Firm Needs Help to Report Copyright Infringement by Studio Rep

Jan. 31, 2012 - PRLog -- Hollywood, CA --- Saturday, January 28, 2012 Diversity News Productions/Publications from Diversity News TV on Blip TV and YouTube Channels announced that it learned that on Friday, January 27 one of their media coverage videos was downloaded and then uploaded on YouTube by an event producer, creating a copyright infringement.
On the same day Diversity News Publications issued an invoice to the company for the footage, a Notification of Copyright Infringement and Unauthorized Use of Diversity News TV footage.
In the letter, Diversity News TV (dba Diversity News Productions/Publications) gave this company person a 10 day deadline to comply by paying the amount billed, or it will forward to its legal council for possible litigation. Also, Diversity News Publications will release the identity of the person and company after the deadline has passed. The deadline was set to February 8, 2012. After that, a public announcement, press conference or press release will be sent to media/press outlets to publicize this copyright infringement.
“I am very sad and disappointed for the actions of this individual. I had so much respect for this person and his/her organization but after seeing my video (Diversity News TV) on his/her YouTube Channel I feel disrespected and violated, so I lost all the respect and admiration for the individual and his/her company.” said Esteban Steven Escobar, Executive Editor-In-Chief of Diversity News Magazine, President of Diversity News Publications and Producer and Director of Diversity News TV.
Diversity News Publications stated in a letter dated 1-28-2012 “Diversity News TV DBA Diversity News Productions/Publications is committed to investigating licensing infractions not only to protect our interests, but also to protect the interests of the photographers, videographers, and hosts we work with and represent. We are committed to protecting the intellectual property rights and livelihood of the artists whose work we license. We must enforce our licensing conditions rigorously and feel that your cooperation regarding this matter should be promptly forthcoming. This letter is without prejudice to Diversity News TV’s rights and remedies, all of which are expressly reserved.”
Mr. Escobar added “I just hope they pay the bill to make this matter right. I am also asking my media colleagues to please help us get the word out about this copyright violation and to report the individuals and companies stealing copyrighted material without permission, licensing and/or payment.”
Diversity News TV or Diversity News Magazine does not give permission to anyone to download and upload image(s) or video(s) from their sites. Anyone is free to use the links or link their coverage and even copy the embedded code, but not to download and upload our content.
Copyright infringement is the unauthorized or prohibited use of works under copyright, infringing the copyright holder’s exclusive rights, such as the right to reproduce or perform the copyrighted work, or to make derivative works. It often refers to copying intellectual property without the creator’s written permission.
Also most of Diversity News TV Video(s) have the following wording.

May not be downloaded for distribution without prior written permission from the producer/publisher/author”.
This video in question has this wording and whoever downloaded and uploaded it on his own channel chose to ignored it.
At this time Diversity News TV (dba Diversity News Productions/Publications) and Diversity News Magazine are not disclosing the name of the individual or company because they are allowing time to resolved this matter with the other party.
